1. Presentation of proclamation designating the month of May 2008 as “Motorcycle Safety

and Awareness Month” in the City of Groves.

2. Receive the minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting of 04-29-08 in

regard to: (1) The request from Mr. Jeff DeCuir to rezone Lot 4, Block 7, Range E

PALCO from C-1 Retail Business District to CBD Central Business District; (2) To

receive the request from Mr. Ed Cheek to amend the preliminary plat of the Town

Homes of Pecan Groves Addition from a Class A Subdivision to a Class B Subdivision.

3. Receive the minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting of 05-06-08 in

regard to approving Phase 1 of the Kelliewood Addition.

4. Discuss setting a date for a Joint Public Hearing in regard to the request to rezone Lot 4,

Block 7, Range E PALCO from C-1 Retail Business to CBD Central Business District. 

5. Discuss the request from Mr. Ed Cheek in regard to amending the preliminary plat of the

Town Homes of Pecan Groves Addition from a Class A Subdivision to a Class B

Subdivision.

6. Discuss approval of the final plat of Phase 1 of the Kelliewood Addition.

 

7. Discuss cancelling the regularly scheduled work session of May 22, 2008 and the

May 26, 2008 City Council meeting due to the observance of Memorial Day.

8. Discuss approval of lease agreement with Port Neches Groves Softball League.

9. Discuss authorizing the City to pay $2,675.21 to the Groves Swimming Pool Association

for insurance coverage for Summer 2008.

10. Discuss authorizing approval of Texas Gas Service adjustment clause increase proposal

and related ordinance.
