The Groves Municipal Court is located in the Police Department and processes all class C misdemeanor cases such as traffic tickets, thefts under $50, alcohol violations, ordinance and code violations, and citizens complaints.

The Municipal Court employees one part-time judge, two full-time clerks and one part-time clerk. The Municipal Court clerks process traffic tickets, issue summons and arrest warrants as provided by the Judge.  The clerks reports traffic convictions to the Texas Department of Public Safety, accepts payment of fines, accepts appearance bonds and maintains records for the Municipal Court.  The clerks also schedules and coordinates Jury Trials and Non-Jury trials.

The court is open for arraignment by the Municipal Court Judge on Mondays,1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and no appointment is necessary.

Fines can be paid at the front window during regular business hours.
