Welcome to the Groves Municipal Court

The Groves Municipal Court is located in the Police Department and processes all class C misdemeanor cases such as traffic tickets, thefts under $50, alcohol violations, ordinance and code violations, and all citizen complaints.

The Municipal Court employs one part-time judge, two full-time clerks and one part-time clerk. The Municipal Court clerks process traffic tickets, issue summons and arrest warrants as provided by the Judge. The clerks report traffic convictions to the Texas Department of Public Safety, accept payment of fines, accept appearance bonds and maintain records for the Municipal Court. The clerks also schedule and coordinate Jury Trials and Non-Jury trials.

The court is open for arraignment by the Municipal Court Judge on Tuesdays 1:30 p.m. and no appointment is necessary.

Fines can be paid at the front window during regular business hours.
