The City of Groves Water Treatment Plant is responsible for treating approximately 2 million gallons per day of water for distribution to the citizens of Groves. In order to meet state requirements and ensure the health and welfare of the community, routine and mandatory sampling is a regular part of the treatment process.



















Our water plant is staffed twenty-four hours a day throughout the year with professional operators licensed through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Groves receives raw water from the Lower Neches Valley Authority as do many of the communities in the Southeast Texas Region. In addition to treatment, the operators are responsible for monitoring the City's clearwells and elevated storage facilities in order to maintain an ample supply of treated water for domestic use and firefighting events.
